The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had cancelled the class 10th and 12th board exams. Schools were asked to finalize their results and to submit the marks by 15th July 2021. The CBSE class 12th result was released on 30th July 2021. The CBSE appealed to the Supreme Court of India that class 12th students must be awarded based on past class 11th and class 10th results. About 40% of the marks is based on class 12th pre-board, and 60% weightage is based on the performance of the students in class 11th and class 10th final examinations. The board also said that 30% marks comprise the class 11th final examination, and the remaining 30% marks include the three major papers of 10th marks.
Practicals constitute 100 marks, and the students are evaluated based on marks submitted by the schools. If a student cannot meet the qualifying criteria across the three years of study, the student is placed in the essential repeat or compartment category. The students who are not satisfied can appear for the supplementary exams. The application for CBSE revaluation will be made available on the official website within a couple of days or a week. The protocols for revaluation must be kept in mind while applying for it.

Moreover, additional sheets that a student used will be cross-checked to make sure that the number of sheets mentioned in the main sheet was intact or not. This method has a major advantage for the student as they witness how the answer sheet is evaluated. In addition, if the students find any mistakes in the calculation of the marks, they can get them corrected from the regional CBSE office. Finally, other than the calculation mistakes, students can challenge the board to recheck the answer sheets if the marks awarded are fewer than what they should be.

A student is not allowed to apply for more than ten questions to re-evaluate. For rechecking a single question, it costs Rs.100/-. The fee paid will be refunded back if there was an increase in the marks after the evaluation. If a student was not confident enough that he got fewer marks than deserved, try to avoid the revaluation since the money will not be refunded if the marks after rechecking remain unchanged or lesser than before.
